Stampim’ Up! Sneak Peek Lily of the Valley Fun Fold

WooHoo – it’s Tuesday and Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group! We have a them challenge today – ‘for the girls/ ladies’ and we can interpret that in whatever way. I’m making a card for a special friend who has just had a knee replacement – so something pretty & oooh, ahhh. This fun fold does that – It’s a Pop-out Window card and a Sneak Peek of new stamp set bundle & coordinating DSP. For the cutout, I chose to use Scalloped wishes Dies. These will be available for purchase May 5! Lily of the Valley & it’s suite of products is part of the May-August 2026 Catalog. Scalloped Wishes is an ONLINE Exclusives. You can those near the bottom of my post.

Stampin' Up! Lily of the Valley card front

This Designer Series Paper is called Valley in Bloom and this piece is exceptionally pretty, at least I think so. The entire card front is covered in it, adhered to the Granny Apple Green card base. With the DSP adhered to the card front, I I used the largest of the Scalloped Wishes Dies to die cut this scalloped piece. When I removed the die cuts I made certain the DSP was adhered to the background card stock. I set these pieces aside to work on the inside, which is the working mechanism of this fun fold.

Stampin' Up! Lily of the Valley fun fold inside

This is the inside that makes this a pop-out window card. I used Basic White cut 8 x 5 1/4, scored on the long side at 2 1/2, 4 1/2 & 6 1/2. Burnish the score lines as shown above. It’s easiest to stamp & decorate prior to adhering this to the card base. It’s that first section that get’s stamped with a greeting or an image. And the last section that get’s trimmed so it doesn’t cover the opening. And depending on the die used to make that opening will determine the trimming. For this opening it is trimmed to the score line leaving about 3/4″ at the top and about 1″ at the bottom. It’s pretty clear in this image.

Stampin' Up! Lily of the Valley fun fold inside decorated

Here is the decorated inside: I stamped the lily image in Garden Green ink and used a Blender Pen to move the ink on the leaves only. The next panel is cover in Valley in Bloom DSP 1 7/8 x 5 1/4. The next panel has the die cut adhered to it. 😀.

Steps in adhering the inside to the card base:

  • Adhere the largest of the folded panels to the inside of the card, creating equal edges on three sides.
  • The next panel is folded against the adhered piece, leaving the other panels flat.
  • Add adhesive to the small strips and close the front of the card – see photo below
  • With the card front closed, add adhesive to the folded Basic White panel and attach die cut. The card should open & close easily

Now finish decorating the card front. i stamped this sentiment on Basic White using the new Black Hybrid ink pad and a stamp from the Lily of the Valley stamp set. I punched it out using the Triple Banner Punch, adhered it with a dimensional and trimmed the overlapping end. I added a single Shimmering Dot in Coastal Cabana to the sentiment. The butterfly is die cut from a scrap of the Valley in Bloom DSP, then I used a Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend to add color. The body is die cut from Basic Black and both were adhered together then attached directly to the card front. I added a single Shimmering Dot to the back, again in Coastal Cabana. I added three more Shimmering Dots to the card front, this time in the green.
