It’s Thursday – and we have a sketch challenge for the hop today! A Stampin’ Up! package arrived on my doorstep today and I decided to use new products from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES to create my card.
As I mentioned, new products arrived today – and one of them was the Simply Zinnia Suite - a new Online Exclusive available March 5. As a demonstrator, we have the privilege of ordering products ahead of customers, to preview, play with, and share in our blogs. I didn’t think I would like the Designer Series Paper, but I LOV E IT! It really is pretty. My card base is Highland Heather with a layer of Lemon Lime Twist, then either the Flowering Zinnias DSP or Basic White. I pulled in several Stampin’ Blends to color the stamped zinnia (stamped in Basic Gray ink using the Simply Zinnia stamp set) and die cut it with the appropriate Simply Zinnia Dies. The Blends??? Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly. The leaves are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink and highlighted with Wink of Stella. I used Wink of Stella on the stamped zinnia too – in the center area. The flower & leaves were placed on a die cut using the Scalloped Contour Dies and Basic White card stock. The embellishments are from the suite – Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins.
- Card base – Highland Heather: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, remove 2 1/8
- Lemon Lime Twist: 2 x 5 3/8; 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
- Flowering Zinnia 12 x 12 DSP: 2 x 5 1/4(front); 1/2 x 5 1/4 (inside); 2 1/4 x 6 (flap)
- Basic White 3 1/4 x 2; 4 x 5 1/4 + scraps for flower and leaves die cuts
For the inside…
The Flowering Zinnia DSP is adhered to the Basic White insert and the sentiment is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink using a stamp from the Simply Zinnia stamp set. The sentiment has two embellishments from the Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins, this time in Lemon Lime Twist.
For the envelope… The same DSP as used on the card front, but the other side of the paper :O) for the flap. On the front I stamped the double leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink and coated it with Wink of Stella. Love, love, love this new suite: Simply Zinnia.
