Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs Pop Up Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello everyone! It’s Thursday and the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is ON IT! We have a fun theme challenge to day and I chose to play with the Sweet Bugs bundle and it’s coordinating Cute As A Bug DSP. And just so you know I know… I titled this card incorrectly… it’s really and Interlocking Z-Fold!

This bundle and it’s coordinating suite of products are just adorable. I could NOT quit playing… meaning my card for Friday is also from this set of products 😁 These are from the Jan- Apr 2026 Mini Catalog… and here we are mid February already. Look at those darling ladybug embellishments – so stinking cute! There are three. And those ants are die cut from the DSP. To do the arches I used the Arches Dies. Here’s how to make this card…

  • The card base is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 – Mossy Meadow
  • The DSP on the card front is 4 x 5 1/4 – Cute As a Bug 12×12 DSP: add to the card front with glue only on the rims of the DSP – no glue in center
  • Using the 4th from largest Arches Dies, place in the center of the card & cut through both layers. Separate the two center papers putting the DSP portion to the side.
  • The Very Vanilla ‘liner’ is 4 x 8 scored on the long side at 1 1/2 & 3 1/2, burnished like a Z (mountain, valley)
  • Add the Very Vanilla to the inside of the card, adhering the largest portion to the inside of the card base.
  • Close card, folding the Very Vanilla in it’s intended Z. Place the Mossy Meadow part of the die cut arch in the die cut opening. Now remove it and add glue to the 1 1/2 Z showing in the opening and put the Mossy Meadow piece back in the opening. Now decorate this Mossy Meadow arch!
    • Using the next smaller arch, die cut a picture from the Cute As a Bug DSP – I chose this piece. This was added to the Mossy Meadow piece. I die cut the ants from another page of the Cute As A Bug DSP, put mini dimensionals on the backs of each ant & attached them. I added a Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes to the stem of the dandelion poof.
  • When closing the card front, you will notice two more of the Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes.

  • I also decorated that inside lower Very Vanilla panel with a die cut worm holding a leaf umbrella – how cute is that?! I attached it after adding a 5/8 x 4 strip of the same DSP – and finally another Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes. πŸ‘
  • There is absolutely no sentiment on this card, so it can be used for any occasion. Love that! While I don’t show it, I did add a 4 x 5 14 panel of Very Vanilla to the back of the card to write more of my message.
  • You will also notice I added DSP to the upper inside of the card – cuz… honestly folks, I did a boo boo & this covered it! πŸ€“
Stampin' Up! Interlocking Z Fold card & envelope

For the envelope… yet another of the die cut ants from the Cute As A Bug 12×12 DSP was adhered to the envelope front. I used another piece of the Cute As A Bug DSP pack to cut a piece 2 1/4 x 6 and adhere to the flap & trimmed it to fit. This is just so casual and so fun… who can resist!
