IT’S THURSDAY – time for another HAPPY INKIN’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have a sketch challenge today and you can see that below. I’ve taken some liberties with the sketch :O).

I began with Pool Party card stock for my card base, then ran a slightly smaller piece through the Basics 3D embossing folder. This is an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE set of three embossing folders and I use them a LOT! I then cut a piece of Basic Black card stock and the super fun Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP at an angle: 3/4″ down on right side and 2 1/2″ down on left side for the top panel. The bottom panel is 1″ up from the bottom on the left side and 3″ up from bottom on the right side. These were adhered directly to the 3 1/2 x 4 3/8 Basic Black piece, leaving the apace in between. I attached this with dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the bee from Bee My Valentine stamp set in Memento ink of scraps of Basic White: Memento ink, Crushed Curry for the body, Petal Pink stamped off once was added to the wings. These were punched out with the Bee Builder Punch and attached together as needed with glue dots. I put dimensionals on the back of the bee and placed it on the card front. As an afterthought, I added Wink of Stella to all the yellow portions of the bee. I added these adorable flowers from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers – and the card front was complete.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Bee My Valentine in Memento ink, then pulled out the ‘buzzing line’ of the bee & Pool Party ink and stamped above it. The Basic White panel was added to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

For the envelope, more of the ultra cute paper from Be Mine 12 x 12 DSP adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. More stamping of the ‘buzzing line’ in Pool Party ink across the bottom front of the envelope.
