Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden and Honeybee Home for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

HELLOOOO! Exciting things happening today at Stampin’ Up! – FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OF $75 & UP. Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop… the sketch challenge is as you see it to the right ~ butterflies or bugs, and chose bees from the Honeybee Home bundle. You can see my card below.

Daisy Garden & Honeybee Home.1

I used the Daisy Garden stamp set, stamped in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. The Night of Navy ink makes the flowers look elegant, but the Flowers for Every Garden Ribbon ‘countryfies’ it a bit. I colored the leaves/ stems in Shaded Spruce Blends, a really nice contrast with the navy. I colored the centers of the flowers with Dark Mango Melody Blends.

The bees ~ love these bees! They are stamped in Memento Black ink on Basic White, using the Honeybee Home stamp set. I colored them in Bumblebee for the body and Balmy Blue for the wings – Stampin’ Write Markers! They were die cut with the Honeybee Blooms Dies after coloring. They were attached to the floral panel with dimensionals. The ribbon (Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Pack) was wrapped around the card front and attached in back with Stampin’ Seal+, then the panel was adhered directly to the Night of Navy card base. I took another length of the same ribbon and tied it, then slipped a glue dot behind it to hold it in place.

The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink on another Basic White scrap using the Honeybee Home stamp set and fussy cut, put on dimensionals and adhered on top of the ribbon. Front … done!

Daisy Garden & Honeybee Home.2

For the inside, I used the Honeybee Home stamp set to stamp the flowers in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. I again used the Bumblebee Marker to add color to the flower. I then stamped the bumblebee from Honeybee Home stamp set in Memento Black ink and colored it with Bumblebee Marker & Balmy Blue Marker – as on the front of the card. l-o-v-e! This panel was adhered to the inside of the card & bingo… card was complete.

Daisy Garden & Honeybee Home.3

For the envelope, I stamped the bumblebees in Memento ink on the flap three times and colored them as before… Bumblebee and Balmy Blue Markers. For the front of the envelope, I stamped the same floral pattern from Honey Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink and colored the flowers with Bumblebee Marker.

This card can be used for SO MANY occasions – just add a sentiment inside or write whatever you want. Versatility is the key… again… l-o-v-e…
