This is such a fun, fun fold and so easy ~ you will want to make this several times using various DSP just to see what it looks like! This first card is maxed using the Magnolia Lane stamp set and coordinating DSP and was made in one of my card classes. The envelope used the “adorable closed magnolia from the same stamp set. It was colored using stampin’ blends DK and LT Petal Pink. When coloring an envelope with blends, please make sure to have a scrap piece of card stock in the envelope as blends tend to bleed through ~ and you don’t want that!
The card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″; same card stock 4 1/4″ x 11″ (score this at 1 1/2″, 3″, 5 1/2″ and 8″, folding accordion style and burnishing the folds) + 2 1/8″ square
Next layer: 4″ x 5 1/14″ (Adhere to card base) + about a 2 1/4″ scalloped square
Coordinating DSP 1 1/4″ x 4″, 2 1/4″ x 4″, 2 3/4″ x 4″
* Adhere DSP to appropriate layers of the folded card stock using Tombow glue
* Adhere this to the card base
* Stamp sentiment on 2 1/8″ piece and adhere to scalloped square
* Having the accordion fold in place, adhere this square so that it is centered and 3/8″ from left edge.
Here is a picture of the same card using the Wrapped in Plaid 6 x 6 carfd pack in the new catalogue. I used the Dashing Deer stamp set and So Many Stars stamp set from the Holiday cattie for that adorable star. The square was embellished with Holdiay sequins – yep, from the Holiday cattie! Fun, right?
Remember to decorate your envelopes!
