Stampin’ Up! Delightfully Eclectic Card Gift Bag

It’s Tuesday July 3 – and a blueberry picking day! We love blueberries and this is the right time of year… they are ripe and we are ready to go. We freeze most of them to have this first picking. Then we pick more and make muffins or pancakes or cobblers or jus eat the fresh to our hearts content.

Today’s post has nothing to do with blueberries :O). It’s a card gift bag.

Stampin' Up! Delightfully Eclectic Card Gift Bag

The card is made with Delightfully Eclectic DSP and Basic Black card stock for the sides, bottom and handles. The label is Basic Black and Basic White, stamped with the Countryside Corners stamp set. Here are the dimensions:

  • Designer Series Paper: 6 x 4 1/2, cut 2
  • Coordinating card stock 3 x 6 (bottom panel) scored on both long sides @ 1/2″
  • same coordinating card stock 3 x 5, cut 2 (side panels), score on three sides @ 1/2″. Mark center on remaining short side and score from that mark to the right bottom corner where score lines meet. Score again from that same center mark to the bottom left corner where score lines meet.
  • Burnish all score lines
  • Trim bottom corners of side panels at angle – see photo below

Directions:

  • Add Tear n tape to the 1/2″ score lines on all pieces, adding it to the scored edge, close to the score line.
  • Attach DSP panels first, then side panels as shown.

  • Do one side at a time, removing tape of bottom side panel and attaching it to the bottom panel, then attach that same side panel to the DSP piece
  • Now do the same to the other side

Handles:

  • Cut 4 handles and adhere two together for strength. Here I used the Countryside Corners Dies to create the handles

  • Add Tear n Tape to the bottom portion of each handle and attach to each inside of the DSP see photo above
  • Decorate as desired:
    • Ribbon used: Satin Edged Ribbon & Baker’s Twine Essential Pack in white for bow
    • Basic Black and the Countryside Corners Dies for label
    • Basic White and Countryside Corners stamp and Countryside Corners smallest die
  • Fill with decorated cards to gift :O)

The label allows you the freedom to write in a name for the gift of goodies. And I guess you wouldn’t have to fill with cards, but could fill with just about anything. Just be careful the items aren’t too heavy! :O)

If you had a new team member, this would be a nice gift to fill with various adhesives – or as a hostess gift for someone hosting a party.

Stampin’ Up! Delightfully Eclectic Box

Good morning! New day, new week, new plans. :O) I have a sweet box for you today made with the Delightfully Eclectic DSP and finished with Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon and the Cheerful Daisies stamp set.

Now isn’t this a cute box? It’s fresh & I love the Black & White Gingham Ribbon with it. I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Freesia and die cut it with the appropriate die from Cheerful Daisy Dies, put dimensionals on top & bottom and added it over the ribbon. The daisy is also stamped in Fresh Freesia, with the center in stamped off once Memento ink. It was die cut with its appropriate die from Cheerful Daisy Dies and added with a single dimensional on the left & two stacked dimensionals on the right. The ribbon is held in place in the front with a couple of glue dots under the sentiment banner. What’s nice about that is the ribbon stays in place when it is untied to open the box. :O)

Here are the dimensions for the box and where to cut & trim.

Box: 4 x 11; score on long side 1, 5, 6. 10; score on short side at 1 and 3. Burnish all score lines then trim as shown.

You can see where the cuts are for this box and where the tape should be. You can choose to use adhesive tape as I did here or Stampin’ Seal+, which I used on another box. Both work very well.

The Delightfully Eclectic pack of paper holds 48 sheets, so lots of opportunities for playing with large sheets for boxes or gift bags.
