Oh-oh-oh … some new SU! product arrived yesterday:) and I couldn’t WAIT to play. It was the Harvest Meadows DSP that caught my eye first so I went with it. Here it is…
This is a fun Gate-fold card to show off both sides of the DSP. I should have taken a photo of the belly band before adding the elements to the front! At least you can see that it’s Bumblebee in color. The sentiment in this stamp set is perfect for so many occasions – sympathy, a ‘pick-me-up’, thinking of you. And it is has a delicate font. It’s from the Nature’s Harvest bundle.
Isn’t this paper stunning? It’s Misty Moonlight and white. A gate-fold card is pretty basic: an A2 card base but scored with equal sides to close the card. I adhered Misty Moonlight to each side panel first, then the DSP. The belly band is a strip 1″ wide wrapped loosely around the closed card and trimmed to overlap. I then turned the DSP over and adhered the other side to the strip – and it is a more narrow piece. I adhered the ends together with Tear n tape cuz I wanted it extra strong. And I did not burnish the creases of the belly band – that makes it too tight. I used the Everyday Label punch two pieces – Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee card stock, then trimmed the Bumblebee down a bit so the Misty moonlight showed. This was attached to the belly band with dimensionals. The sentiment banner is Basic White card stock with the ends trimmed with the Banners Pick a Punch. Of course the sentiment is from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set and stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. I added several 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the banner before attaching it with dimensionals to the belly band.
The inside… I HAD to play with the dies in this bundle and some new paper – Kraft 6×6 Paper pack AND another fun stamp in the Nature’s Harvest stamp set:
The dies on the left & right do not have coordinating stamps, but they are still stunning dies. They are attached with dots of liquid glue. The floral stamp is done in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake – to coordinate with the Kraft 6×6 Paper 🙂 The Basic White panel is adhered to a slightly larger piece of Misty Moonlight and affixed to the center of the card – all with liquid glue. Love this bundle! It does come as a suite of products but because I didn’t use all the parts of the suite in this card – I didn’t want to focus on that. I will definitely be playing more with these products in the future. All of these are new in the Jul-Dec 2021 Mini Catalog. 😉 Don’t have a demonstrator? And don’t have a catalog?
